The Importance of Spiritually Growing

The world is changing fast, and it is going to change in such a way that the only strong foundation you will have to rely on is your spiritual life. That is why God is continuously saying repent, focus on me and draw closer to me, but many are not listening. God already knows what each of our decision is going to be in the end, we may not know it. It wonโ€™t be a surprise someone can start off spiritually strong and fall away in the end. Spiritually growing is a continuous process, the minute you let the world influence your relationship with God it will be easy to fall away. You have to take the time to focus on God and spiritually grow. Many people think they are strong, strong with their words and bullying, strong with their guns and knives but I guarantee you many of these โ€œstrongโ€ individuals canโ€™t fight a spiritual battle. Many are in spiritual battles and donโ€™t even know it. They are beginning influence and lead away by Satan and they are not strong enough to fight him because they are so focused on the physical that they canโ€™t see they are being destroyed spiritually.

God wants us as believers to be strong in every area of our lives, but most importantly our spiritual life. God is a spirit and connects with us through our spirit. Do you think God is connecting with a spirit that is contrary to his? Examine your life and see where you felt far from God and why that was? You probably find that you were either in some sin or not taking time to spiritually grow. I canโ€™t force you to draw closer to God and spiritually grow, I can only encourage you to open your eyes, and heart to see what God is trying to show and tell you. I love that God will take the time to draw you closer to him, itโ€™s obvious he sees something in you and knows you belong to him, so why are you fighting him? Repent, submit, focus on God and Draw Closer to God. May you be encouraged to choose God over everything else. Spiritually growing is not an overnight process, itโ€™s continuously and you can only grow when you tend to your spiritual garden.

Scripture Meditations

โ€œBut why do you call Me โ€˜Lord, Lord,โ€™ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great,โ€ Luke 6:46-49

โ€œFor this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.โ€ Colossians 1:9-14

โ€œTherefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through The Messiah.โ€ 1 Peter 2:1-5

โ€œThis I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Messiahโ€™s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. โ€œ Galatians 5:16-26

โ€œ Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.โ€ Galatians 6:7-9

โ€œ Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.โ€ 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

โ€œ that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.โ€ Colossians 1:10

โ€œBlessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinner Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.โ€ Psalms 1โ€“3
