I always enjoyed attending church, but over the years, I have seen and witness a lot of disturbing behaviors, right in the pews. I spent 9 years volunteering in a church and I left saying I would not ever do that again. The only reason I stayed volunteering year after year was that I believe that some people were really seeking God and did not see what direction to take. I explained this in my book, after leaving I looked for and attended other churches only to see the same issues. God saw that I was so busy seeking for a “church” and not him, that he reveal to me to sit down, no more seeking for a church, a pew, a pastor. Instead, for three years I just stayed focus on my relationship with God and studied the bible, I learned more and grew more spiritually in three years with God than I did over ten years attending church. So when I tell you some of these churches are dangerous it’s because I experience it myself. When I tell you these churches are man-made, it’s because they show daily they are not about God. It’s dangerous to continue sitting in these pews that are worshiping man, woman, that is in idolatry, stuck in paganism, has loyalty to the world, changes God’s word to fit people’s feelings and the “times”, it’s dangerous to your spiritual life.

If you in sitting in the church just for entertainment, music, conferences, you are living a dangerous spiritual life. If you sitting in church to please your pastor, or get closer to them, rather than God, you are living a dangerous spiritual life. Choose today who you will serve? Many churches today are focusing on pleasing people and the world and not God, and your continuous participation is going make you an accomplice to their judgment. Be warned and take heed when the time comes for judgment God will not accept any type of excuses.

How to Know You Are Sitting in the Wrong Pew (Church)?*Not Exclusive List*

• Pastor twist, change biblical words to fit the sermon of the day, people-pleasing
• The Church is constantly copying, embracing worldly activities, standards, thinking, entertainment, and actions
• The consequences of sin are not preached or preach very lightly to not offend
• Treat and continuously treat the Church as a business
• Church and pastor is more motivational, entertaining than scriptural
• The Pastor(s) and wives want and are put on a pedestal
• Pastor(s), their kids, friends, and family are treated like Kings and Queens while the rest of the members get treated as peasants
• Constant preaching on obtaining worldly success, money, things, and goods
• Coercion for tithes and offerings, often threaten with a curse if you don’t give to “them”
• Tithes and offerings are used to make Church pretty or straight to pastor(s) pockets and not for the poor, widows as the bible instructed
• Pastor and/or church members attack others when being called out
• Refusal to repent of their wrongdoings
• Creates a Church of Idolatry of people and things
• Married Pastor(s) sleeping with members of the Church, breaking up marriages and relationships
• There are fees/a cost for almost every service offered by the Church
• Pastor(s) are often always completely inaccessible unless you are a major tithing, giver or celebrity
• Pastor(s), and church members get offended by the very bible/scripture they claim to believe in
• Church members gather to gossip, harass, destroy another no real “Brotherhood” “Sisterhood”
• Pastor(s) and members often giving false prophecies
• Church mix different religions, rituals that go against the word of God- i.e. the worship of many gods, strange rituals that are not biblical
• Pastor(s)/Chuch members embrace and celebrate the world’s holidays and ignore God’s feasts, Passover, etc.
• Pastor(s) sells/offer water, oil, the touching of their feet in exchange to get a blessing, or you need to give a certain amount of money to get the blessing
• A new gospel is taught and preached
• Pastor(s), wives living, participate in sin themselves
• Pastor(s)/church members embrace, tolerate sin, and those in sin under the guise of “love”
• Pastor/church members only believe in parts of the bible, not the entire bible, they often pick and choose the parts “they” like to preach and talk about
• Pastor/church has rules, ideas that has no biblical basis
• Church has a cult-like environment

Although I warn you, this is not all churches and pastors, there are good ones out there. You are not going to find the perfect church doing every single thing the Bible tells us right, because we all are working progress. However, there are some who are outright wrong and work more against God than for God, so these churches are dangerous for you and you must walk away. Take heed this is not the time to be playing around with your spiritual life, God will not be mocked. Draw Closer to GOD. Turn your focus unto to God and God only.
