Embracing God Natural Remedies

“Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” ~ Hippocrates 

Here is a simple list of must have herbs, fruits and vegetables you want in your kitchen and garden. Many of them are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antimicrobial, anticancer and just a great source for overall health. I also share a short list of benefits, but you can do your research on each and see their many benefits. 

  • Ginger-great for digestive system, immunity defense, also helps to keep a flat tummy 
  • Garlic-antimicrobial, anticancer, helps with viruses, parasites, you can boil some in water and drink like tea (no sugar added) 
  • Lime/Lemon– good source of vitamin C, natural detox, helps with the common cold, mucus release 
  • Beets– great for increasing oxygen, blood flow and overall health 
  • Parsley-antioxidant, kidney cleanse, increase blood flow, I usually add a few bunches when juicing 
  • Mint/Peppermint-good for PCOS, freshens breath, helps with digestive system, menstrual cramps 
  • Turmeric- good for inflammation, helps with arthritis, helps with blood sugar level, anticancer 
  • Aloe– heals wounds quickly, great for skin care and your digestive system 
  • Chamomile –Trouble sleeping, try some chamomile tea right before bed. I promise you will go to sleep. 
  • Echinacea & Elderberry– can create your own natural cough/cold syrup with these two
  • Lavender– Helps with mood changes, sleep, stress 
  • Strawberry-good source of natural fiber, antioxidant, good for heart 
  • Blueberry-helps with memory, helps with diabetes, antioxidant, anti-cancer 
  • Avocado-contains healthy fats that helps maintain a healthy cholesterol level , high fiber food, natural source for Vitamin K 
  • Apples-good source for fiber, heart health, digestive system 
  • Orange—good source for Vitamin C, heart health, potassium 
  • Pineapple-good for parasites, digestive system, immunity defense 
  • Bananas– good source for potassium, fiber, magnesium 
  • Spinach/Kale– good source for Iron, Vitamin K, Calcium, bone health 
  • Broccoli-anticancer,  calcium, antioxidants, heart health
