“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” ~ Isaiah 26:3
There’s a few things that keep your relationship with God strong, some of these things include faith, hope, love, obedience, seeking him, bible reading, prayer, fasting, and trust. When you lack trust in God you are more likely to trust people and things, and we are already warned to not to put trust in mankind, Psalm 118:8-9, and the reason for this is because God knows you well, and he knows what is best for you. People in the world are always changing their minds, they say one thing and do another but God never change. He is the same God yesterday that he is today and from the beginning of time. A great way to know whether someone is trustworthy is their consistency and do they do what they say, not whatever they feel like doing at the time. If you trust God and keep your focus on him, he will direct your steps and you will have peace even in the midst of chaos and confusion, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
I encourage you to block out all the noise, the confusion, the nonsense this world brings to your mind, it’s simply not worth your time. Instead focus on God, keep drawing closer to him, keep seeking him, keep acknowledging him, keep choosing him in your decision. God is for you and will protect you. God loves you and truly cares for you not this fake care that some have in this world. God knows what is truly best for you, so trust in him. Draw Closer to God.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
