During these times it is easy to get in a sad mood and feel hopeless, however, I want to encourage you that you can still have joy in the midst of chaos. When you focus on the right things your outlook on life will be different. Most importantly, when you focus on God he will keep you in peace that surpasses understanding and maintain your joy! Since we already know and been warned in this world, we will have trials & tribulations we can prepare our mindset for what is happening and what is to come. Here are some ways to maintain Joy in the midst of chaos:

Stay Focus on God as you Trust Him– Have you notice when you are focused on a problem, the problem doesnโ€™t go away? The reason it is not going away is that you are focusing on it rather than a solution. Every problem no matter how big or how small does have a solution. How is focusing on God going to help you find a solution? Because God is the one who gives wisdom and understanding, if you take your focus off the problem and redirect it to God, God will give you the solution. A lot of us operate as if we donโ€™t have any help but the truth is we have help from above, if you are born-again you have help residing in you, i.e. the Holy Spirit, you have a bible filled with wisdom and direction, so take your eyes off the problem and redirect them to God. Focusing on God also means to spend time with him, praying, reading your bible, praise and worship, all these things will keep you joyful, at peace, in faith and encouraged. Isaiah 26:3- โ€œYou will keep in perfect peaceโ€ฏthose whose minds are steadfast, because they trustโ€ฏin you.โ€

Get & Stay Prepared- Although, you wonโ€™t be able to prepare for every single thing that occur you can do something for most events that are going to occurring. The best way to avoid stress and worry during chaos is to know when, and how to prepare. The corona virus situation exposed a lot about this world and people. As believers we also got plenty of warnings in the bible, so the best thing you can do, is do something. Donโ€™t just sit there and let things creep up on you, or let things happen to you. Learn to prepare your household, your mindset, and your spiritual life for things to come. Proverbs 6:6-8โ€ฏโ€œGo toโ€ฏthe ant, Oโ€ฏsluggard; consider her ways, andโ€ฏbe wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler,โ€ฏshe prepares her breadโ€ฏin summer andโ€ฏgathers her food in harvest.โ€

Mediate on the Word Day & Night– Joshua 1:9 is more than just a scripture; it is a lifeline. God knows the minute you put your focus on this world, you will lose focus on what really matters. You get more anxious, nervous, stress out, fearful, angry, and even lose hope. Always make time to get and stay on your bible reading and studying. A good way to start doing this if you havenโ€™t already started is to choose the word, rather than watching television, browsing the internet, playing around on social media. Every time you find yourself about to listen to some negative news, watch a bad event on T.V., pick up your bible instead. Matthew 6:22โ€ฏโ€œThe eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.โ€

Continue to Follow Your Dreams & Don’t Give up– If you are finding these situations are creating hopelessness and discouragement, donโ€™t be fooled! Your destiny is in Godโ€™s hand and not in the worldโ€™s hand! If you are in school, continue on with your education, if you want to start a business, new hobby, just do it! If you are walking with God, the plan for your life has not change. I like to say, โ€œNo matter what is going on in this world, I will make it!โ€ My confidence and hope is in God not in what is going on. God can make a way out of no way, heโ€™s in control. Proverbs 16:3โ€ฏ(AMP) โ€œCommit your works to Yahwehโ€ฏ[submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].

Stay encouraged, donโ€™t let this world steal your joy, and keep your eyes, ears, mind, and heart on God. God is good.  Draw Closer to God.

โ€œFinally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8โ€ฏ
