Having a Heart of Gratitude-You Are Blessed!

We often go through life focused on our “problems,” having the cares of the world in our heart and minds, but it is important to take a step back and remember the goodness of God daily. When Jonah was trying to run away from God, he put himself in a difficult position and ended up in a fish belly for three days. Jonah felt like he was going to die in there and then he remembers the Most High, he prayed and was thankful. God allowed the fish to vomit him out unto dry land, Jonah 1-2. We are always very thankful when God pull us out of a difficult situation, and some carry on with their life, forgetting what God has done, Deuteronomy 6:12; Deuteronomy 8:2. That is not God desire, he wants a relationship and He wants us to be near to him daily. I advise you to not be thankful to God only when he helped you, or bless you but to be mindful and thank him daily because he blesses you daily. 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 tell us “In everything give thanks…” This means being thankful when you have a good day or a bad day, thankful for the little wins and the big wins. In doing so, I promise you God heart will be please, 1 Corinthians 10:31; Philippians 2:12-16; Hebrews 13:15-16. If you are having a hard time being thankful for the bad days, just remember God. Remember that the situation did not end your life, remember that he is protecting you from some type of evil, remember that he is watching over you, and remember he has a better plan for you. We all have to go through hurdles in life, but if we remember God in all things, he will guide you over all hurdles, Jeremiah 17:7-8. Just as he let Jonah out of the fish belly, he shall open all shut doors for you. Have a heart of gratitude that you wake up every day. Whether you feel blessed or not, know that you are blessed to experience another day.

I thank God for everything he has done in my life, everything he is doing, and everything that he is in my life. “For a day in God’s courts is better than a thousand..…., Psalm 84:10-12. Just having God presence in your life is a blessing in itself. I want to encourage you to show your gratitude to God daily, even for the little things, then you will see how blessed you are. “The Lord bless you and keep you, The Lord makes his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace,” Numbers 6:24:26.

We thank you God. We thank you for your protection over our lives. We thank you for your peace, guidance, wisdom, and knowledge. We thank you that we are increasing spiritually and in all areas of our lives. We thank you for your love. We thank you for your forgiveness and grace. We thank you for life!
