The Cares of This World

Nothing steals your joy faster than the fear of the unknown. Many spend their precious time worrying, fearing and concern about what is to come. They are plug into the madness of this world, not being able to pull themselves away for fear of missing something that is “to come.” In reality they are forgetting, something is always happening in this world and it has been happening from the beginning of time. King Solomon said it best in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” What is to come, will be. It’s important to not be carried away with the cares of this world and to become obsessed with what is going on or not going on. Everything in this world seems like all a big distraction and way too much confusion. While I encourage paying attention to what is going on around you, and prepping but don’t let the cares of this world consume you, steal your joy and your peace of mind.

Don’t let the cares of this world keep you so distracted that you don’t feel motivated anymore. Lose faith and hope. Don’t let the cares of this world distract you from continuing on building a solid foundation in the things of God. Don’t let the cares of this world depress, oppress and suppress you. We were never called to carry the burden of this world, as believers Psalm 55:22 tells us to “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” and we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care (anxieties) upon Him, for He cares for you.” While we care about the world we live in, understand there are many things out of our control. Prophecy will come to pass but don’t let these things discourage you. The one thing you are in control of is your peace of mind and you have to protect that peace.  Unplug yourself from all these distractions. Go for a run, a walk, get some fresh air, sit by the ocean and enjoy God’s blessings. Most importantly, Draw Closer to God.  Now may the God of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. God be with you all. “ 2 Thessalonians 3:16
