Time is Flying! Are You Using It Wisely?

I don’t know if you see what I see but time seems to be going even faster! By the time I look at the clock it’s already evening! Are you using your time wisely? This is not the time to be thinking you’ll have more time, whatever it is you what to accomplish in life, it’s imperative you get it done now. Look at your day-to-day activities and really examine what are you doing that is bringing you closer to what your goals are. Your goals can be anything, maybe getting your house in order before the economic collapse, perhaps it’s to get healthier so you don’t have to rely on the “world’s” system, maybe it’s to move out of the country, go off the grid, purchase land, start a family, finish your degree, etc., whatever it is, write it down, create a plan, have a timeline and take action.

Don’t take for granted every single day you have here on earth, even when we live for God and draw closer to God he also wants us to be happy and give us our heart’s desire. There will be opportunities that will come to you and you’ll need to make a quick decision and take the risk. You won’t have the time to “think” about it, because that opportunity may not come again. At the end of the day you are going to have to fully trust God has the best for you no matter what. So don’t be stagnant and do not procrastinate. Whatever it is that has been in your heart to get done, get it done.

Identify what is taking up your time or stealing your time: Watching endless videos, social media updates, driving long distance for work, playing games, too much television, news overload., etc.

Create a schedule that fills up days that you are not doing anything or using time the wrong way, and fill it up with something productive that will bring you closer to your goals.

Look at your goals daily as a reminder what you need to be working towards and have a checklist when you get something done. Checking off items on your list is great motivation to keep you encouraged that you are getting things done and using your time wisely.

When you get distracted turn away from whatever or whomever is distracting you. You’ll have many distractions and you’ll have to know when to nip it in the bud. You will be surprised how much hours get stolen from you with distractions, whether that is endless conversations about topics of the world, or something going on in your own home.

Always ask yourself “Is this worth my time?” If it’s not, then simply don’t engage in it. Time is precious and every second count.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Time has a purpose and to have time and waste it, is not the best use of your life. The year 2020 has proven to us things can change quickly and life as you knew it won’t ever be the same. If you know what you are supposed to be doing, why aren’t you doing it? What are you waiting for?
