People keep forgetting Pride is one of the sins God hates. I have yet to see a prideful person have a good character. Usually, when you encounter a prideful person, you just want to stay away from them. Pride is a sin and it doesn’t matter what you have pride in, yourself, your education, your money, your country, your relationships, your possessions, your beliefs, it’s a sin and God hates it. When someone is in pride, you cannot give them any advice because they are so caught up in what they believe that even when it goes against God’s word they will still do it because of their pride. You know Satan himself is prideful, the reason he was kicked out of heaven was because of his pride. Do you really want to have the same character as Satan? As believers, our goal in life is to serve and worship God and God only. We are not to worship men, women, children, animals, trees, nowhere in the bible have God told us to worship people or things. Lately, people have been so prideful in their beliefs, in people, movements, and “agendas” they believe in, that they are saying “how high” when told to “jump”, you are in error and if you are a believer you are not for God. Instead, you are working against God’s plan that has already been established and will come to pass no matter your beliefs and God will deal with you accordingly.
On the other side of pride is humility, when you around someone who is humble, you enjoy spending time with them, you can learn from them, you can give them advice, a humble person truly exemplify the character of godliness. God loves a humble person and will guide and protect such a person, “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6. Being humble is so important to God that he tells us he will heal an entire land, forgive you of your sins, if you would just humble yourself, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land, 2 Chronicles 7:14.” Believers if you find yourself in any type of pride, repent, and turn away from this sin, because God does hate it. Don’t get involve with prideful people, or participate in prideful activities, that is not of God. Come judgment day, God will judge everyone accordingly to their doings. He knows who is fighting for him or against him. He knows who worships him or idols. He knows who is prideful and who is humble. Come judgment day what character will God find in you? Humble yourself. Understand God’s plan is at work no matter what you see taken place on earth, we are not to work against God’s plans that is what Satan does. God’s plan is not going to match your ideologies.
God’s plans are in motion and will prevail above all. We can’t fight against it, we can’t pray against it, we can’t fast against it, but we can continue to follow after God’s own heart and his ways. I encourage you to spend time reading your Bible so you don’t get caught up in pride and craziness. God’s plan has already been planned out. Draw Closer to God! This earth belongs to God and he can do what he pleases, he is only asking you to follow him, trust him and stay on his side. Choose today what side you are really on.

Isaiah 14:12-15 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.”
1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
