What if today was your last day, do you feel you are prepared to meet with God? And I’m not talking about “everyone is going to Heaven” erroneous preaching going around. I’m talking about the Day of Judgment; do you feel you will be ready to meet with God? Imagine standing in God’s presence, would you be afraid? In fear? Happy? Surprised? I know many people can come up with good things they have done in this world, such as career, family, education, and some who are preachers may feel they have done great things in the world for the Kingdom of God and that automatically entitles them to enter into Heaven. However, have you have pondered on what God really thinks of you? Are you so sure that you are doing things that are pleasing to God? Understand God allows us to experience life for a reason and everything we do and say will be accounted for, we are reminded with Matthew 12:36-37, “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Are you using your breath of life for good?
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being,” Genesis 1:7
Don’t take life for granted and understand the seriousness of God breathing life into you. So many people are angry, killing each other, they have no peace, no joy, and many continuous are given to their flesh desires. I encourage you today to use your time wisely. Live for God, walk that spiritual walk. Don’t waste time with hatred, jealously, gossiping, busybody, negativity, fear, anger, discord, greed, lust, there is so much to life and on God’s side, in walking in the Spirit, there is so much joy and peace. I hope you keep in mind that you will have to answer to God, I pray when that day comes it will be a good day for you and not a terrifying one. Draw Closer to GOD.
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to the Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. Galatians 5:13-26
