God Corrects Whom He Love

Many times people don’t understand correction is a form of protection. If you see someone going into danger, you would want to warn them, well correction is the same it is a form of warning and protection. Its dishearten seeing people get offended by the very bible they claim to believe in. Either you are for God or you’re not. God is not a 50/50 God; he says he wants us to love him with all our heart, mind, and soul, Mark 12:30. God corrects believers all the time, but it is up to the believer to heed his warnings and accept his protection. If God is allowing you to fall deeper into a rabbit hole, allowing you to stay and continue in your sin, be careful because God can give you over to your desire and you’ll end up with a reprobate mind, not being able to receive correction any longer, Romans 1:18-24, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21. We cannot fool God, he sees everything, and if he is correcting you, you should be thanking him and praising him that he sees you as his own. Many people are going to get a wake-up call about God and realize he does not go against his word so you can feel better about your sin or to “please you.” Receive correction if you are one that he corrects; accept his protection, and his love for you, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap,” Galatians 6:7.

Scripture Meditations

“My son, do not despise Yahweh’s discipline (Chastening) or be weary of his reproof (correction), for Yahweh reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights, Proverbs 3:11-12

“There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death”, Proverbs 16:25

Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Yahweh, And teach out of Your law,” Psalm 94:12

“ He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, But he who heeds rebuke gets understanding,” Proverbs 15:32

Show me Your ways, O Yahweh; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day,” Psalm 25:4-5

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there :are many who go in by it,” Matthew 7:13

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work,” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning,” Proverbs 9:7-9

“For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,” Proverbs 6:23

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life,” Galatians 6:8

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of Yahweh, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom Yahweh loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it,” Hebrews 12:5-11

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent, “Revelation 3:19

A Prayer of Repentance-Psalm 51

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight—That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise. Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, With burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.”
